2-03-09 Due to Trane company reneging on their agreement to excuse workers due to the serious weather conditions, (SEE BELOW), UAW 912 is planning on filing a grievance against Trane. If you have received attendance points and or lost your perfect attendance, please contact any union official and make them aware! Unless the company comes to their senses, anyone receiving any disciplinary action will have the opportunity to tell an arbitrator how they were treated during this state of emergency.
1-28-09 Attention: Tuesday and Wednesday absences will be excused by Trane per Don Music. The union feels that anytime that weather related conditions make being at work or driving to work dangerous or hazardous, workers should be excused. Tuesday, Gov. Steve Beshear declared an emergency in Kentucky because of this powerful winter storm. If you get attendance points or are subject to any disciplinary action, contact your union steward or any union official.
01-27-09 Effective February 2nd, 15 people people will be laid off. This contradicts what we were told last week.
